Pitted dates are  just dates that have had their  seeds removed. Pitted dates are easy to bite, chew and digest without having to spend  time picking out the seed. Although  everybody can easily remove the pit at home with a small paring knife, Today with the progress in the food industry, especially the date product, pitted dates can be easily bought and prepared in the dates market.

 

Usually, most of semi-dry dates can be pitted. The dates like Kabkab, Sayer , Piarom , Zahidi , Shahani, Medjool and Kalute dates have the ability to separate their seeds. but one of the most unique of these dates is Sayer date, which is mainly planted in Khuzestan province in Iran which is very sweet and has a sugar content of over 75%. This feature make it as good option to use with a bitter drinks like Tea.

 

 

The color of Sayer or Stamaran dates is dark brown, leaning towards black and red, which gives it a double beauty. This date is very popular in European countries  widely consumed.
