Dates truffle is a kind of lovely dates snack, made with dates which mixed up with pistachio, sesame, and some other nuts, these truffles are very healthy considering as an alternative to the date filled pastries especially for party events.
You can Make small Dates truffles (20 to 25) with the following recipe:
1 cup chopped dates,
1 cup dried shredded coconut
200 g unsalted shelled pistachios
1 Tablespoon honey
3 Tablespoons orange blossom water
The first step, toast the pistachios on a baking sheet in a moderate oven (175°C – for 5 minutes)until they emit a nutty aroma, Pour the coconut into a shallow bowl.
Then with a food processor, grind the pistachios. Add the dates and mix the thick paste.
Transfer the pistachio date paste to a bowl. Use hands to mix in the orange blossom water and honey.
Now make small even-sized balls and immediately roll in coconut while the ball is still sticky. Gently roll until completely coated in coconut.
Arrange truffles on a serving dish or put them in miniature fluted paper cases. Store in an airtight glass container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
